Thomas J. Orr

Of Waupaca, age 79, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at this home.  He was born in Waupaca on March 16, 1941 to the late Jerold and Fern (Abrahamson) Orr. He married Betty Axtell on October 15, 1960 and together they had four children, they later divorced but remained friends. Thomas was a pig dealer and raised beef and hogs.  He enjoyed golfing, bowling, bluegill fishing and playing cards, especially poker with the boys. He was a good grandpa and was always there when you needed him.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Terri Orr; Dean (Michelle) Orr and Todd (Shirley) Orr all of Waupaca; grandchildren: Ashley (Dieter), Morgan, Garrett, Blake, Alex, Hayden, Kendall, McKenna and Zachary, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Betty Orr, a daughter, Linda, sister, Beverly (Dennis) Wilson and special dog, Heidi.

The Memorial Service will be on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. A special thank you to Thedacare Hospice and Karin Williams for their care of our dad. Any memorials can be donated to the charity of your choice.
