On April 21, 2021 our pops took the hand of God and was reunited in heaven with the love of his life, his wife Loraine. Robert Russel Fritz was born on June, 12, 1940 in New London, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Dorothy (Finger) and Arthur Fritz. He was baptized at Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a lifelong member on August 11, 1940. He was confirmed in his faith on April 3, 1955. He graduated from Washington High School in New London in May of 1959. He served his country in the United States Army from 1959-1961 and was honorably discharged in 1965. On June 13, 1964, he was united in marriage to Loraine Hass. They were married for 52 years until her passing in 2017. Their marriage was blessed with three children and four grandchildren. He worked for the city of New London as the Street Superintendent and retired in 2002 at which time he was honored with a street named after him, Bob Fritz Lane, in Hatten Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old westerns, and cooking and spending time with his family. He always took the scenic route wherever he went which earned him the nickname, Backroad Bob.

He is survived by his children, Julie (Glen) Besaw, Manawa, Lisa (Andrew) Laluzerne, Neenah, Jeffrey Fritz, Little Chute, his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fritz, Brittany and Stephanie Besaw, and Isabelle Laluzerne.
