Evelyn A. (Serres) Jenks

Evelyn Alice Jenks of Saxeville, age 72, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 28th, 2020. She was born in Waukesha on October 10th, 1947 to the late Everett and Gwendolyn (Kerr) Serres of Merton. She was married to the love of her life, Larry Jenks, for 54 years. They married on June 4th, 1966.

Evie was a homemaker and helped manage the family business. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Saxeville where she enjoyed events and quilting with her friends. Her hands were rarely still. She enjoyed working in her garden which led to lots of canning and delicious jam. Her love for quilting and baking made not only her heart full, but her family and friends as well. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, feeding and watching the birds, and weekend getaways at their second home in Minocqua. 

Evelyn was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered by all of the love she gave to everyone, her love for wildlife, and the smile she brought to this world.

Her spirit will always bring us light and wisdom. 

She is survived by her husband Larry. Children: Timothy (Sue) Jenks of Saxeville, Roberta (Paul) Stratton of Waunakee, Christopher (April) Jenks of Pine River. Grandchildren: Mary, Jennifer, Jordan, Joshua, Taylor (Carson), Ashley, and Abby. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Richard Serres. 

There will be a Memorial Service held on a later date. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Saxeville.
