Edward Coe Obituary

Of Waupaca, age 89, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019.  He was born near Boone, Iowa on December 11, 1929 to the late Jess and Alice (Enfield) Coe.  On December 27, 1972 he married Cheryl Spettel.  Ed was a veteran of the US Army.  He was a salesman and won many awards over the years, as well as making many friends.  He was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, serving on the church council and helping with many projects. He liked fishing, woodworking and fixing computers. He enjoyed having coffee at the Truck Stop with his friends most afternoons. He was always ready with a warm smile and a terrible joke.

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Cheryl; his children: Megan (Thomas) Johnson; Charlotte (Larry) Forsyth and Dan; Timothy Meis, Jayne (Robert) Sharyer, J. Anna McCaw, Debra (Robert) Smith; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

The Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church.  The visitation will be on Monday at the church from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Pastor David Baker and his family who serve as missionaries in Mongolia. Checks can be made out to Rev. David Baker and sent to Calvary Lutheran Church, E1887 King Road, Waupaca, WI  54981.
