Daniel A. Wilke

Of Shawano, age 72, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.  He was born in Oconto Falls, WI on April 28, 1945 to the late Alvin and Lucille (Bahr) Wilke.  He grew up in Pulcifer, WI; and graduated from Gillett High School.  On February 12, 1966 he married Carol Jean Nischke. After two years in the Armed Forces at Fort Bragg, NC the couple moved to Shawano, where they raised their three children.

He is survived by his children: Traci (Carl) Schwister, Chris (Kim) Wilke, Vicki (Jon Letter) Wilke; 10 grandchildren, two great granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.  The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff at Milwaukee VA and the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. Condolences may be mailed to N1145 Lawn Rd, Seymour.
